Berks Arts presents the 21st annual Frank Scott Memorial Art Show: The Art of Jazz in the Schmidt Gallery at the GoggleWorks in March and the DoubleTree by Hilton Reading in April 2025.

Founded in 2005, The Art of Jazz honors the legendary local jazz musician Frank Scott. The Art of Jazz exhibits annually in coordination with Boscov’s Berks Jazz Fest. Submission is open to artwork in all media. Accepted artwork will be announced mid-February.

Meet the 2025 Juror: Matt Allyn Chapman

Matt Allyn Chapman is an artist, curator, long time professor at Pennsylvania College for Art & Design, and co-owner of curio. Gallery & Creative supply in downtown Lancaster with his wife Nicole Duquette. In addition to these roles, he is a member of the Echo Valley Art Group and board member of the Demuth Foundation & Lancaster Museum of Art. 

Chapman studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia (MFA) as well as Lancaster’s Pennsylvania College of Art & Design (BFA). He has exhibited at: The Walter and Leonore Annenberg Gallery, PAFA Philadelphia PA. Pentimenti Gallery, Philadelphia PA. Rothus Halle, Solothurn, Switzerland. The Susquehanna Art Museum, Harrisburg PA, The Lancaster Museum of Art, The Demuth Museum, The Ware Center for Visual and Performing Arts at Millersville University, and many others. His work can be found in the City Hall Permanent Collection, Lancaster PA.
