Clay on Main Exhibition

Clay on Main welcomes Emily Whynott, an accomplished Philadelphia-based sculptural artist to our gallery. Emily Whynott is a sculptor based in Philadelphia, PA. She graduated with a BFA in Sculpture from the Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA in Socially-Engaged Studio Art at Moore College of Art and Design. She brings her MFA thesis work, “Sugarcoated” to Clay on Main’s gallery from May 28th to July 2nd.

Whynott takes inspiration from her experience in the kitchen and blurs the boundaries of food and art. Her work consists of sculptural installations which evoke whimsy and awe. She welcomes all to have a seat at her proverbial table and join the larger conversation about food, nourishment, and the connections it creates between us. Please join us for the opening reception of “Sugarcoated” on Sunday, May 28 from 4-6pm for a chance to meet the artist and view a truly spectacular show.
