McKenna Barker

McKenna Barker graduated from Exeter Township Senior High School in June 2023 and will be attending Rochester Institute of Technology in the fall for industrial design. She loves to read, write, bike, dance, and has been drawing for as long as she can remember. Throughout her high school career, her art has won various awards in local and regional competitions — two gold keys, two silver keys, and multiple honorable mentions at the regional Scholastic Art and Writing competition, the Fred and Deb Gurman award at the Yocum Institute, and third place in the BCIU secondary art exhibit at GoggleWorks Center for the Arts. She has also been juried into shows at the Wyomissing Art Institute, the Pennsylvania Congressional Art Show, the Scholastic 144 competition, and other local shows. McKenna is one of the artists selected for the Berks Arts Fast Lane Art program in 2022 and 2023. She is so grateful and incredibly excited to be able to continue pursuing art and learning to create in college.
